Bunny Exercize.
This might sound weird, but never mind!
So, I have a Flemish Giant rabbit, now just for if you didn’t gather this from the breed she is rather large! she weighs about 8 Kg. Anyway, I’ve given her a massive cage but I figured that she still doesn’t get much exercise as it still wouldn’t be big enough for her to run/hop around in. I have two other rabbits and three guinea pigs, but they are all normal size, the rabbits are mini lops and I have leads for them so they can’t run away when I let them out on the lawn. Flemish giants are one of the tamest, docile rabbits, so as an experiment I put her on the ground and sat with her. Guess what, she just sat and ate grass then began to hop around but didn’t run away and let me pick her up when I walked over to her! How cool is that!
So now my bunny gets exercise and hopefully won’t end up too fat, but of course not skinny. But its really handy being able to do this as she is pain when I clean her cage! she sits there and eats my clothing, but now I can put her on the ground instead, so long as I keep an eye on her!
If by any chance you do try this, keep your bunny away from cats and dogs! Though I have a kitten and they have worked out how to play hide and seek! And the ducks have learnt how to play tag, though, Dolly (the rabbit) is always the tagger! The hens aren’t as fun, they just stand and won’t run away from her Which I think disappoints her because she can’t chase them and when she gets too close they peck her so she doesn’t think that’s much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
